These centrifugal single stage pumps  are ideally suitable for open wells where there is wide fluctuations in  water level. This  works under water and it rests at bottom of the well. Hence, suction and priming problems do not arise. Pump portion is of single stage and fitted with cast iron casing and impeller. Pump volute chamber is designed to give the best possible hydraulic efficiency. Dynamically balanced impellers offers vibration free operation with long life. Prime mover is water filled, rewindable, water lubricated and   water  cooled  submersible  motor.  It features  water  lubricated  thrust  and  journal bearings. Specially  designed high performance thrust bearings are used that  can withstand axial thrust loads with minimum wear & tear.  The  unique design of thrust bearings create a wedge of  water between the shoe and  the disc and thereby it gives better  water lubrication and increases the life cycle of the thrust bearings. The stator is wound with special water proof bi-axially oriented synthetic film insulated winding  wires and made up of  low watt loss steel  laminations assembled under pressure, rigidly  locked in a stator shell. Dynamically balanced rotor maintains uniform clearance, thereby it gives better efficiency and increases the life cycle of the bushes and  motor. Motor sealing is made by means of grommets , �O� rings, shaft seals  and sand guard to avoid ingress of well water / sand  into the motor. Pressure  equalizing rubber diaphragm is provided to guard the pressure and volume variations of  water inside the  motor. Motor is pre filled with clear, cold, pure, fresh  filtered water. However, on request, motors can be pre-filled with water and propylene glycol (Anti-freeze agent) for places where the temperature is below the freezing conditions. Before commissioning ensure the pre filled level of water inside the motor. If any loss of volume is noticed, refill  with clear, cold, pure, fresh  filtered drinking water through water filling plugs. Should the use of anti - freeze agent  mixed water not be allowed for special applications, these motors can also be filled with clear, cold, pure, fresh, filtered  water and operated. It is mandatory to install a C.R.I. Control box for all single phase pumpsets. This control box contains capacitors, miniature circuit breaker (MCB) and an on / off switch. All 3 phase pumps require  an  adequate motor protection  control panel.
